It is a Japanese tradition derived from ancient folklore. In the modern era, the tradition was revived and subsequently popularized by Sadako Sasaki, a child survivor of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Sadako attempted the Senbazuru before succumbing to leukemia.

On 11/11/25, Join us for DINE FOR THE CAUSE to benefit MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION.

This day will include a Violin Performance by:

KEIKO ABE PERITZ

A retired professional orchestra Violinist from Kyushu, Japan. Mrs. Peritz’s parents lived in Hiroshima, and survived the bombing, 2 years before she was born. She has published a book documenting her parents survival post Hiroshima bombing in 1945.
